TC Electronic Bass TonePrint Effects Pedals released for Namm 2012, or rather modified? TonePrint effects pedals have gained a huge following with guitarists not just because of their awesome boutique style effect quality, but due to the flexibility that they offer - now this concept goes one step further.
TonePrints are not the average guitar effects pedal. The clever chaps at TC continually develop new FX settings created by some of the biggest names around, which can then be downloaded into these pedals, giving users access to the sounds of their legends. Until recently, this required connection to a PC or Mac.
However, a month or so back a ridiculous development saw the release of an iPhone app that allows new settings to be literally 'dialled' in from your phone! You simply connect your guitar to your TC pedal (normal jack-jack cable), select the app, select the TonePrint and hold your phone over the guitar pickups. Job done!
If Bass players have eyed these guitar pedals with envy, now is the chance to take advantage of this recent announcement. With the release of a new range of dedicated Bass TonePrints, these pedal become TonePrint Bass Effect pedals. An impressive line-up of top bass players have already contributed including Nathan East (Clapton, Fourplay, etc.), Mark King (Level 42), Divinity Roxx (Beyoncé), Gail Ann Dorsey (Lenny Kravitz), Charles Cave (Whi te Lies), Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Nine Inch Nails, Beck), Uriah Duffy and more.
