Guitar Pedals – why do guitarists keep on buying loads of them when there are plenty of really clever all-in-one boxes out there. We think it’s because there is just something very simple and straightforward about buying a piece a piece of kit that does one thing and does it really, really well. You can’t say that guitar pedals aren’t technically advanced either – just look at the current crop of looper pedals.
You’ll also know, if you’re a gigging musician like most of us, that stomping on a phaser pedal will give you a phase sound, even if you got the sweep setting wrong. Get it wrong on an effects unit and you might be more Slow Train A Coming than Supersonic!
