Hayden MoFo 55 Guitar Amp Head delivers the next step up from the ever popular 30-watt all-valve MoFo. Hayden MoFo 55 amplifiers come loaded with four ECC83 tubes fueling the foot-switchable dual channel preamp stage with independent gains and master volume controls. MoFo 55 also benefits tonally from the passive treble, middle, bass and presence controls which are shared by both channels, and FX send and return sockets are conveniently located on the front panel.
MoFo 55 has a series of 3 voice buttons can be used to thin out or thicken the signal from the pickups before it passes into the main gain stages, very useful for focusing the sound under heavy drive settings. These switches can also be used to mute the signal for tuning. The output stage uses a pair of 6550 tubes running fixed bias to ensure a big, fat sound. MoFo 55 amplifier heads share a cool, retro aesthetic with the original MoFo 30, with tubes and transformers on view behind a metal grille.
Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil and Eagles of Death Metal Jesse Hughes and Dave Catching are already firm fans of Hayden’s extraordinary MoFo guitar amp head. Now the UK-based tube-amp specialist is expanding the MoFo range with the launch of a new 45-Watt twin channel head and combo, designed with the hard-rocking metal player clearly in mind.
