RME Fireface UC is a professional USB 2.0 audio interface, delivering the perfomance and quality expected of a FireFace. RME Fireface UC is essentially a USB 2.0 version of the highly popular Fireface 400, offering 6 analogue inputs (including two mic preamps), 6 analogue outputs, ADAT I/O and stunning low latency performance. To complete the package FireFace UC also features two Midi In/Outs.
The compact Fireface UC has been uncompromisingly developed and optimized by RME for the highest performance under both Windows and Mac OS. Based on a newly developed RME Hammerfall core the Fireface UC provides revolutionary ultra-low latencies even with multiple channels. The Fireface UC interface uses two different firmware versions with different transfer methods to remove current restrictions of typical USB audio interfaces. The unit’s operating mode Win or Mac can be changed directly at the unit at any time. Under Mac OS the Fireface’s MIDI ports are class compliant, the operating system therefore automatically uses the included MIDI driver.
Under both Operating Systems the available latencies delivered by the RME Fireface UC are simply sensational, although this does depend on the performance of the host PC or Mac.
