Tascam HS-2 is a professional, High-Definition stereo mastering recorder that records to robust and readily available solid state Compact Flash (CF) cards. Tascam HS-2 also features time-code and was designed for studio and post production use. HS2 fits a variety of stereo recording applications, which were first pioneered by Tascam's renowned DAT recorders. True to Tascam tradition, audio performance is top-quality throughout with up to 192kHz/24-bit recording.
As in the HS-P82 and HS-8, Tascam HS2 uses a color touch-screen interface to access settings and tracks. Audio is recorded as Broadcast WAV files to Compact Flash media, with SMPTE and RS-422 synchronization available. A pair of CF card slots is available for data mirroring or continuous recording. The Tascam RC-HS20PD remote control allows operation from a separate room via an RJ-45 connection.
