Yamaha CVP-605, finished in Polished Ebony, joins the all new line-up of CVP-600 series Clavinova digital pianos new for 2013. Yamaha CVP-605 Clavinova in Polished Ebony comes loaded with the RGE (Real Grand Expression) sound engine, which produced an incredibly realistic recreation of an acoustic piano. Clavinova CVP605PE also features the superb GH3 keyboard action complete with synthetic ivory keys for maximum playing comfort and powerful expression.
The RGE Sound Engine technology gives Clavinova CVP605 an expressive capability similar to that of a concert grand piano and incorporates a new Smooth Release function, which can enunciate staccato notes with the sound of lingering resonance heard when gently lifting your fingers from the keys. It reproduces the unique resonances of an acoustic piano via the String Resonance feature, which expresses the mellow sounds of the other strings resonating. Key-Off samples are also featured, delivering the delicate change in sound the instant the damper touches the string, just before you raise your finger from the key.
Clavinova CVP-605 comes loaded with the GH3 keyboard that has been praised by pianists for a performance feel, giving this instrument a touch that makes you forget it's actually a digital piano. This keyboard feel comes from a hammering system and spring-less mechanism based on an acoustic grand piano. The GH3 action also features a 'Graded Hammer' design to faithfully reproduce the keyboard touch of an acoustic piano, from the heavy feel in the lower range to the lighter feel in the higher range. Finished with synthetic ivory key tops this soft, slightly porous surface gives all keys added grip with natural friction so that CVP605 simply offers unrivalled feel.
Yamaha CVP-605 offers a fantastic new feature called Piano Room that you can use when you really want to focus on piano performance and savour the piano sound. You can select from three types of pianos, grand, pop grand and honky-tonk and also a playing location, such as concert hall, cathedral or stage. Instantly the tone and ambience effects change, giving your performance a totally different feel.
To ensure easy and intuitive to operation, so the instruments' features do not get in the way of an incredible playing experience, CVP-605 comes with a control panel that has a touch screen. Other buttons are laid out in easy to see locations and users can customize the control panel as they like it, create bookmarks for favourite voices and styles, make shortcuts on the home display and assign favourite functions to the assignable buttons.
CVP-605 enables users to record their performances with the USB Audio Recorder, so you can you review and gauge your progress, or you can listen to them on a portable music player.
