Yamaha Pocketrak C24 is reportedly the World's smallest portable MP3 recorder, weighing in at an amazing 2oz including the battery! Yamaha Pocketrak C24 is diminutive recorder that is big on features. Pocketrak C24 can go with you everywhere for recording, from band rehearsals, music lessons, conferences to meetings and more, easily slipping into a pocket or bag, so you're always ready to record.
Yamaha Pocketrak C24 comes supplied with a clip attachment that lets you snap the recorder onto a music stand, mic stand or any convenient location. Small and light, Pocketrak C24 stays where you put it and won't be in the way. Yamaha C24 also offers significantly longer recording time than comparable models, or previous Pocketrac models. A single alkaline AAA battery will power the unit for up to 26 hours in MP3 mode and 16 hours in PCM mode.
Surprisingly, Pocketrak C24 offers digital audio recording with 24bit 96kHz resolution, which is higher than CD quality. Thanks to Yamaha technology, small size is not a sacrifice. Naturally, you can also use the MP3 format for longer recording.
The built-in tuner makes pitch adjustments easy and convenient. When using the tuner, the backlight turns on automatically. The metronome is also handy, giving you the desired tempo via both sound and LED. And you can record the music without recording the metronome sound.
The Yamaha C24 Pocketrak has a built-in 2GB flash memory, providing 3 hours of PCM recording time (MP3: 13.5 hours). Using the optional 2GB microSD memory card doubles this amount. You can also use higher capacity cards. Even with its slim body, the C24 includes a speaker so you can check your recording on the spot or listen later at your leisure.
With a large mic built into its compact body, the C24 records sound with excellent clarity. The mic is nondirectional, so you can record over a wide area without having to point it at each sound source. This makes it easy to record large groups like brass bands or choirs.
Slide out the USB connector and the C24 connects directly to a USB port. USB 2.0 compatibility means that an hour of recorded sound can be transferred in 10 seconds. Transfer recordings to your computer and email them right after they've been recorded and because the C24 comes bundled with Cubase AI5 software, you have extensive editing and production capabilities. The onboard Peak Limiter for even prevents overload and distortion on high-level sounds.
